There were a lot of moves made in the fashion world last year, and as 2013 slowly unfolds, FashionTV will spend this weekend revisiting the fashion happenings of 2012.
Was it the year of Karl Largerfeld or Roberto Cavalli? Raf Simons or Hedi Slimane? No doubt about it, 2012 saw countless changes among top designers at the helm of major brands. John Galliano was ousted at Christian Dior. Alexander Wang replaced Nicholas Ghesquiere at Balenciaga. Stefano Pilati was out and Yves Saint Laurent became Saint Laurent Paris.

But 2012 also saw some of the designers’ best work including Sarah Burton’s bee wax collection after taking over the helm at Alexander McQueen, Christopher Kane’s urban prints, and Marc Jacobs Dickensian wonderland. Now it’s 2013 and a new year in fashion is starting…thus, we must pay homage to the designers who made 2012 so great and get ready for what’s in store for 2013. This weekend, we’re celebrating the designers who captivated us in 2012 with our Top Designers Weekend.
